Becoming more present is needed more now than ever. In this blog post, we will cover what Sahasrara or Crown Chakra represents and how to balance it.
What are Chakras?
The Chakras are a set of seven wheels or energy vortex of energies in our bodies that carry our urges, emotions, and habits, as well as the energy for experiences that happen to us.
You may have heard of terms such as Chi, Prana, Charge, and others that refer to the same type of energies.
The seven chakras are Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Brow, and Crown.
Now that you have a little background on what chakras are, let us focus on the Crown Chakra.
Crown Chakra
The Crown Chakra or Sahasrara is located on the crown of the head, the cerebral cortex. The color of this chakra is represented by the color White or Violet.
When this chakra is out of balance you may feel:
- Shutdown
- Limited
When you have too much energy going into this region of your body you may experience:
- Confusion
- Living “in Your Head”
- Excessive attachments to old beliefs, things, toxic people
When you do not have enough energy going into this region of your body you may experience:
- Closed-minded
- Learning difficulties
- Rigid Belief
Common Aliments that you may experience when your chakra is out of balance:
- Headaches

- Bliss
- Wisdom and Mastery
- Deeper spiritual connection

You now may be wondering how can you balance this chakra
To balance this chakra you would need to:
- Use Affirmations
- Practice Meditating sitting in either Easy Pose, Half Lotus Pose, or Full Lotus Pose
- Be more mindful of your emotions and actions

Additional steps to take to balance your Brow Chakra
- Practicing deep meditation for 5-10 minutes
- Practicing Journaling and log your thoughts and feelings
- Trying gazing at the stars and looking at the sky for at least 5 minutes
- Follow your thoughts. Act like your watching movie reels and write down what pops up.
- Give love and embrace love around you
- Take action on your dreams, follow the flow, and enjoy the journey.
