What was your first memorable CrossFit experience?
My first memorable experience was when a friend of mine asked me to be his partner in the 2015 Metcon for Hope. I was not a member of DE yet and felt I was in good shape, as I had been racing BMX all year long and had a good foundation for strength. The first workout started on the Assault bike and you had to complete 50 calories. I automatically thought I would finish in the top spot due to my BMX racing (I had a bit of an ego!). Well the bike completely humbled me very quickly and showed me I wasn’t as fit as I thought.

Favorite lift/movement:
Squat Cleans.

Least favorite lift/movement:
Chest to Bar (I’m horrible at them).

Why do you do CrossFit?
I CrossFit because it has increased my fitness and overall health. CrossFit prepares me behind the scenes to help ensure I make it home to my finally after my shift at work.

Who would you recommend CrossFit to?
I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to improve themselves, or who enjoys a good challenge.

What does Double Edge meant to you?
Double Edge means family, fitness and loyalty. A place I can come to get a quality workout and then drink a beer with the coaches afterwards. Double Edge brings a positive escape to my everyday life.

What was your first memorable CrossFit experience?
Climbing the rope for the first time, and watching Coach Sabrina compete in the Open and seeing her drop to her knees during a heavy squat snatch and stand back up!

Favorite lift/movement:
Handstand walk and burpee box jump overs.

Least favorite lift/movement:
2000 Meter row under 8:15. I failed by 1 second the first attempt and 3 seconds the second attempt.

Why do you do CrossFit?
It is a natural stress reliever, I enjoy the people, to stay healthy and make gains. I have gained 12lbs of muscle. CrossFit reminds me every day how blessed and grateful I am to be able to wake up and do what we do.

Who would you recommend CrossFit to?
Anybody who wants to improve themselves mentally and physically

What does Double Edge mean to you?
A safe place to come everyday for guidance, support and self-improvement. Double Edge has a unique form of camaraderie that cannot be replaced.
