A Mini-Interview
What was your initial experience with yoga?
I initially came to yoga in high school. After growing up as a dancer, I thought I would be “good” at it because I was so flexible. Ironically, I’ve found yoga to be a healing place for my type A/ achievement oriented personality and now yoga’s benefits go far beyond the physical for me. Let’s mine the depths!
What do you find most rewarding about teaching yoga?
As with anything that has been profoundly influential, you want to share with others. My experiences with yoga and Ayurveda are no different. So I just want to stand on the rooftops and shout about how amazing these practices are! I’m a teacher at heart, so getting to teach something that has become a guiding compass for me is more than just rewarding, it’s my dharma.

Kimber Jones’ journey with yoga and Ayurveda began in 2014 as she sought relief from a health challenge. Since then, these ancient practices have become her passion, transforming her life and inspiring her to share their power with others. Remarkably, Kimber has been symptom-free and medication-free since 2018, a testament to the profound impact of an Ayurvedic lifestyle. She now dedicates herself to guiding students toward similar well-being, connecting them to the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda in a way that feels relevant and accessible to modern living. Her slow flow classes emphasize the deep connection between breath, body, and mind, fostering resilience and a profound intimacy with oneself. Kimber believes in the transformative potential of these practices and loves to share her knowledge, inviting students to “nerd out” with her as they explore the intricacies of these ancient sciences.
Beyond the yoga mat, Kimber embraces an active and balanced life. You might find her weightlifting, practicing jiu jitsu, tending to her homestead, or exploring the beautiful mountains that surround her. These pursuits reflect her holistic approach to well-being, a philosophy that permeates her teaching. Kimber’s expertise is rooted in extensive training, including a 500-hour yoga certification from Asheville Yoga Center and Vira Bhava Yoga, as well as her recent graduation from the Ayurvedic Institute.
